Multi-site network access control

Network access control
across your sites.

Protect branches and regional offices with EasyNAC appliances and Enforcer Sensors. Bring multiple appliances together with Central Visibility Manager, so your team can coordinate reporting, settings and administration.

For distributed organizations, with small or large IT teams.

Choose the right role at each location

One site or many. A clear control model.

Distributed networks need local visibility and enforcement as well as central administration. EasyNAC separates those roles so you can choose components that match each location.

Can NAC be managed across multiple offices? Yes. EasyNAC appliances provide local device visibility, supported security checks and access control. Enforcer Sensors extend coverage to suitable remote networks. Optional CVM coordinates multiple appliances, including shared reporting, selected settings and regional administration.

EasyNAC

Head-office appliance

Discover devices, assess supported security information and enforce access rules on covered networks.

EasyNAC

Regional appliance

Provide the appliance functions for a regional network, coordinated through optional CVM.

Branch Enforcer Sensor

Extend an appliance’s discovery and enforcement on a suitable branch network.

Remote-office Enforcer Sensor

Cover a suitable local network under the direction of its assigned EasyNAC appliance.

Each Sensor is associated with an EasyNAC appliance. CVM coordinates appliances; it does not replace local coverage. Verify sizing, connectivity and the protected subnets before rollout.

Less duplicated administration

Give central and regional teams a clear way to work.

Use the controls relevant to each location, with coordination where settings and reporting need to be shared.

01

Coordinate selected settings

CVM supports selective synchronization across appliances. Agree which settings should be shared and validate the scope before applying a change to additional sites.

02

Delegate regional administration

Use regional administrator privileges to define responsibilities. Central coordination and local ownership can work together without giving every administrator the same role.

03

Bring reporting together

Consolidate appliance reporting through CVM. Give the team a shared operational view while retaining the local appliance and Sensor roles for protection.

04

Plan ongoing operations

CVM supports appliance backups and firmware management. Include maintenance windows, recovery tests and ownership in your operational plan.

Expand with a repeatable plan

Prove the design at representative sites.

Begin with the head-office appliance and a representative protected network. Test a smaller branch and a regional office before expanding to additional locations.

Reuse supported AD, XDR and management information for device trust and security checks. Confirm each connector’s requirements and validate the access outcome on the covered networks.

How does EasyNAC protect multiple locations?

An EasyNAC appliance discovers devices, evaluates supported security information and enforces access policies on the networks it covers. Enforcer Sensors extend those functions to suitable remote networks under an appliance. For multiple-appliance deployments, optional CVM coordinates configuration, reporting and administration.

Does every branch need a full EasyNAC appliance?

Not necessarily. A supported software Enforcer Sensor can extend an appliance’s discovery and enforcement to a suitable smaller branch network. Larger locations can use their own appliance. Choose the design using protected subnets, device count, connectivity and required features.

Does CVM enforce network access at the branch?

The EasyNAC appliance and its Enforcer Sensors perform the local discovery and enforcement roles. CVM coordinates multiple appliances. It is not a substitute for the local appliance or sensor coverage required on each protected network.

Can we reuse our existing switches and Wi-Fi?

EasyNAC’s agentless LAN approach supports suitable managed and unmanaged switch environments without introducing switch-specific 802.1X authentication for enforcement. Validate Layer-2 coverage, VLAN connections and wireless client paths for every network in scope.

Can regional administrators manage their own sites?

CVM supports regional administrator privileges and selective synchronization of settings across appliances. Define responsibilities and the settings to coordinate, then validate the intended access for central and regional teams in the pilot.

How should a distributed rollout begin?

Start with a representative head-office appliance deployment and validate the required access outcomes. Test a branch sensor and, where needed, a regional appliance. Add optional CVM for multiple-appliance coordination, then expand in agreed waves with operational handover and recovery tests.
